Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking a senior R&D Formulation Manager – Personal Care to lead new formulations from scratch across skincare, haircare, and body care. Based in Tangerang, you will build and steer the local R&D team, establish development processes, run trials and stability tests, and ensure scale-up to mass production with strong emphasis on emulsion tech and active ingredients.

Qualifications

• Professional fluency in Mandarin is required, both spoken and written.
• Experience leading an R&D formulation team in cosmetics or personal care.

Responsibilities

• Lead formulation research and product innovation from concept to production-ready formulas.
• Design and oversee laboratory trials, stability testing, and technical validation.
• Manage scale-up from pilot batches to mass production with product consistency.
• Establish R&D roadmaps, protocols, and documentation standards.
• Collaborate with QA/QC, Production, Marketing, and Procurement to commercialize products.
• Develop formulations for skincare, haircare, body care, and related categories.
