Job summary

PT Talenta Eksekutif Asia is seeking an R&D Formulation Manager – Personal Care to lead the development of new formulations from concept to mass production in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role requires strong emulsion technology expertise, experience with Asian raw material suppliers (notably Mainland China), and leadership to build a local Indonesia R&D team. Indonesian BPOM compliance and Mandarin fluency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
• 7–10 years of hands-on formulation experience in cosmetics/personal care.
• Proven track record of developing new formulations from scratch.
• Mandatory Mandarin proficiency, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Lead formulation research and product innovation from concept to production-ready formulas.
• Identify new product opportunities through raw materials, actives, and new technologies.
• Design and oversee laboratory trials, stability testing, and validation.
• Scale-up formulations from lab/pilot to mass production with consistent quality.
• Develop skincare, haircare, and body care formulations to meet BPOM Indonesia and international safety standards.
