PT. Polygroup Manufaktur Indonesia is seeking a Lighting Production Assistant Manager to join our Kendal-based manufacturing operations. You will oversee daily lighting production, optimize schedules, and drive safety and quality across the line while managing a production team.

In this role you will coordinate with warehousing, maintenance and planning, implement continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with HSE standards. A 7+ year track record in production management is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of proven production management experience in manufacturing.
• Proven track record of leading production teams and meeting targets.
• Strong knowledge of planning, scheduling, and quality control processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily lighting production operations, ensuring schedules are met and quality standards are maintained.
• Monitor line efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure products meet quality standards.
• Coordinate with warehouse, procurement and maintenance to ensure smooth workflow and minimal downtime.
• Supervise, train and manage production staff regarding safety and procedures.
• Manage and supervise staff including recruitment, training and development.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement to optimise output.
• Ensure HSE compliance across all production areas.
• Conduct regular quality inspections and implement corrective actions.
• Manage inventory and production resources to minimise waste and costs.
• Prepare production reports and analyse KPIs for management decisions.
• Lead safety initiatives and promote a strong safety culture.

About the role

PT. Polygroup Manufaktur Indonesia is seeking a Lighting Production Assistant Manager to join our manufacturing operations in Kabupaten Kendal, Jawa Tengah. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimising our lighting production facilities. As Lighting Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality production operations whilst maintaining productivity targets and managing our production team effectively. This role is integral to our operational success and directly impacts our ability to deliver quality products to our customers on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily lighting production operations, ensuring production schedules are met and quality standards are maintained, organizing, planning dan controlling daily manufacturing operations to meet production target.
• Monitor production line efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure products meet quality standards.
• Coordinate with warehouse, procurement, and maintenance team to ensure smooth workflow and minimize downtime.
• Supervise, train and manage production staff and operator regarding safety and operational procedures.
• Manage and supervise production staff, including recruitment, training, performance management and development
• Monitor production efficiency, identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise output
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations across all production areas
• Conduct regular quality inspections and implement corrective actions to maintain product standards
• Manage inventory, raw materials and production resources to minimise waste and control costs
• Liaise with planning, quality assurance and logistics departments to ensure seamless production flow
• Prepare production reports and analyse key performance indicators to support management decision-making
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate with maintenance teams
• Lead safety initiatives and promote a strong safety culture within the production facility

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field
• Minimum 7 years of proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment
• Proven track record of successfully managing production teams and achieving production targets
• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling and quality control processes
• Experience with manufacturing equipment, production systems and production software
• Excellent understanding of health, safety and environmental (HSE) compliance requirements
• Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve production issues
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with manufacturing execution systems is advantageous
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate diverse teams
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English is essential
