This full-time role focuses on driving continuous improvement, optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring safety and quality compliance. The role requires 7–10 years in engineering with at least 3 years in a management position, and a strong background in CAD and lean methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 7–10 years in engineering; 3+ years in management/supervisory role.
• Experience with manufacturing processes, plant operations, and equipment management.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, quality systems, and industry best practices.
• Excellent project management and ability to handle multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop the engineering team with mentorship.
• Oversee planning, design, and implementation of manufacturing processes and equipment.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team in Kabupaten Kendal, and Grobogan, Jawa Tengah. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in our manufacturing operations. As Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all engineering functions within the organisation, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. This role is pivotal to driving continuous improvement initiatives and supporting the strategic objectives of PT. Polygroup Manufaktur Indonesia.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop the engineering team, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of technical excellence
• Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of manufacturing processes and equipment
• Ensure all engineering operations comply with relevant safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies
• Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training needs for engineering staff
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to optimize operational efficiency and reduce downtime
• Manage engineering budgets and capital expenditure projects within approved financial parameters
• Implement and maintain preventative maintenance program for equipment and machinery
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through process optimization and innovation
• Prepare technical reports and provide engineering recommendations to senior management
• Liaise with external vendors, contractors, and technical consultants as required

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in an engineering role, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory position
• Proven expertise in manufacturing processes, plant operations, and equipment management
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, quality management systems, and industry best practices
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Proficiency in technical software and computer-aided design (CAD) systems
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop technical teams effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
• Excellent communication skills in both Indonesian and English, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders
• Experience in the manufacturing or polygroup-related industries is highly desirable
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is preferred
