Responsibilities

• Oversee daily PVC production operations and ensure smooth, efficient processes.
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and optimise resources.
• Monitor production metrics and quality standards; address deviations promptly.
• Manage production planning to minimise downtime and maximise output capacity.
• Supervise and lead the production team with guidance, training and performance feedback.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate raw material availability.
• Implement process improvements and lean manufacturing to boost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare and analyse production reports to identify trends and improvement areas.
• Collaborate with QA, maintenance and logistics for seamless operations.

About the role

PT. Polygroup Manufaktur Indonesia is seeking an experienced PVC Production Manager to join our manufacturing operations in Kendal Regency, Central Java. This is a full-time position offering a strategic leadership opportunity within our production planning and scheduling division. As PVC Production Manager, you will oversee the entire production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards. This role is critical to maintaining our operational excellence and delivering superior products to our clients. You will be based on-site at our Kendal facility, where you will manage day-to-day production activities and contribute to the long-term success of our manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily PVC production operations, ensuring all manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently
• Develop and implement production schedules that meet customer demand whilst optimising resource utilisation
• Monitor production metrics and quality control standards, addressing any deviations promptly
• Manage production planning to minimize downtime and maximize output capacity
• Supervise and lead the production team, providing guidance, training and performance feedback
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate availability of raw materials and supplies
• Implement process improvements and lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations throughout production
• Prepare and analyse production reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement
• Liaise with quality assurance, maintenance and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations
• Manage equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate with maintenance teams when issues arise

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in PVC production, polymer, plastic sheets or similar manufacturing environment
• Proven track record in production management, production planning or scheduling roles
• Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering or related field
• Strong understanding of PVC manufacturing processes, equipment and quality standards
• Experience with production planning systems and scheduling software
• Demonstrated ability to manage production teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement
• Excellent knowledge of health, safety and environmental compliance in manufacturing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and manufacturing management systems
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Strong communication skills in both Indonesian and English, with the ability to liaise across all levels
• Relevant qualifications in engineering, operations management or manufacturing preferred
• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous
