Job summary

PT Ricoh Thermal Media East Asia Pacific is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our Bekasi manufacturing operations. This full-time role oversees daily production, drives continuous improvement, and ensures high-quality thermal media products are produced on schedule.

You will manage production teams, monitor KPIs, and coordinate with maintenance, planning and logistics to optimise resources and output.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in production management or supervisory roles within manufacturing.
• Strong track record of meeting production targets and leading teams.
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and health & safety.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills with ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
• Experience with production scheduling, inventory management and resource planning.
• Lean or Six Sigma knowledge is advantageous.
• Fluent English preferred; Bahasa Indonesia a plus.
• Japanese: JLPT N2/N1 preferred; ability to communicate with Japanese clients.

About the role

PT Ricoh Thermal Media East Asia Pacific is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations in Bekasi, West Java. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient, safe and high-quality production of thermal media products. As Production Manager, you will oversee daily manufacturing operations, manage production teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet production targets and maintain our commitment to excellence. This role is essential to the success of our facility and directly impacts the company's ability to deliver products to our customers on time and to specification.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and coordinate daily production activities to ensure targets are met whilst maintaining quality standards
• Oversee and manage production teams, training, supervision and performance management
• Monitor production metrics, equipment performance and resource utilisation to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
• Implement and maintain safety protocols, ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
• Conduct regular quality inspections and implement corrective actions to maintain product quality standards
• Manage production budgets, including materials, labour and equipment costs, whilst optimising resource allocation
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule preventative maintenance and minimise equipment downtime
• Report on production performance, including key performance indicators and variances against targets
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles and best practices
• Liaise with planning, logistics and sales departments to ensure smooth production and delivery schedules

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in production management or supervisory roles within a manufacturing environment
• Proven track record of successfully managing production teams and achieving production targets
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control systems and health and safety regulations
• Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
• Demonstrated experience with production scheduling, inventory management and resource planning
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is advantageous
• Strong communication and leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and develop team members
• Proficiency in using production management systems and computer applications
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Fluency in English is preferred; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is a plus
• Japanese: Intermediate to Advanced level (JLPT N2/N1 preferred).
• Ability to communicate effectively with Japanese clients and business partners.
