Job summary

PT Solusindo Teknologi Cerdas in Tangerang, Banten, is seeking a talented Lighting Design professional to join our interior design team on a full-time basis. Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s in Interior Design, Lighting Design, Architecture or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional lighting design experience for interior projects.
• Proficient in lighting software such as DIALux, AGi32, Relux, AutoCAD, SketchUp.
• Strong knowledge of lighting principles, colour theory and photometric standards.
• Portfolio of lighting design projects and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive lighting design concepts for interior projects.
• Conduct site assessments and lighting audits to capture requirements.
• Create detailed lighting plans, specifications, and technical docs.

About the role

We are seeking a talented Lighting Design professional to join our design team at our Tangerang, Banten location on a full-time basis. This role is central to our mission of creating exceptional interior environments that enhance both visual appeal and user experience. As a Lighting Designer, you will play a crucial part in developing innovative lighting solutions that integrate seamlessly with our clients' architectural and interior design objectives, whilst ensuring energy efficiency and adherence to industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive lighting design concepts and schemes for residential, commercial, and hospitality interior projects
• Conduct site assessments and lighting audits to understand spatial requirements and client needs
• Create detailed lighting plans, specifications, and technical documentation using industry-standard software and tools
• Select appropriate lighting fixtures, systems, and technologies that align with project budgets and design objectives
• Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of lighting solutions within overall design schemes
• Prepare 3D visualisations and renderings to communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders
• Provide technical guidance on lighting installation, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes
• Conduct lighting analysis and calculations to optimise illumination levels, colour temperature, and energy consumption
• Manage project timelines and budgets whilst maintaining quality standards
• Stay current with emerging lighting technologies, trends, and sustainable design practices

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Lighting Design, Architecture, or a related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in lighting design for interior projects
• Proficiency in lighting design software such as DIALux, AGi32, Relux, or similar tools
• Strong knowledge of lighting principles, colour theory, and photometric standards
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and 3D visualisation software for design communication
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, lighting technology, and energy-efficient solutions
• Excellent knowledge of Indonesian building codes and international lighting standards
• Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey design concepts to clients and teams
• Problem-solving ability and attention to detail in technical documentation
• Experience with sustainable and smart lighting technologies is highly desirable
• Portfolio demonstrating previous lighting design projects and outcomes
