Job summary

Samsonite Indonesia is seeking an Import Staff to support logistics and supply chain operations. You will manage import processes, handle document control, and coordinate with multiple departments to ensure timely product delivery.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Bachelor degree in Logistics, Transport, Management or Business Administration.
  • Experience with import or customs processes is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

  • Handle end-to-end import processes and customs clearance, including VO application and coordination with brokers and Surveyors.
  • Check and maintain import documents (Invoice, Packing List, B/L, AWB, PIB, VO, SPPB) and coordinate revisions.
  • Monitor shipment progress and coordinate with suppliers, Regional Team, freight forwarders, Finance, and LINC Warehouse to ensure timely delivery and inbound planning.
  • Manage import payments and shipment costing, verify HS codes and freight costs, final costing, and SAP updates.
  • Prepare and submit monthly import realization reports through INSW/Kemendag system.
  • Maintain accurate import documentation and shipment records for compliance and audit purposes.

Job description

As an Import Staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the logistics and supply chain functions within the company. You will be responsible for managing administrative tasks related to the movement of goods, inventory control, and coordination between various departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.

Job Description
  • Handle end-to-end import processes and customs clearance, including VO application, pre-shipment inspection, shipment release, and coordination with customs brokers and Surveyors.
  • Check and maintain import documents, including Invoice, Packing List, B/L, AWB, PIB, VO, and SPPB, and coordinate revisions when required.
  • Monitor shipment progress and coordinate with suppliers, Regional Team, freight forwarders, Finance, and LINC Warehouse to ensure timely delivery and inbound planning.
  • Manage import payments and shipment costing, including import payment budgets, verify HS Code and freight costs, final costing, and SAP (ZAS SHIPMENT) updates.
  • Prepare and submit monthly import realization reports through the INSW/Kemendag system.
  • Maintain accurate and complete import documentation and shipment records for compliance and audit purposes.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Bachelor degree from Logistics and Transport, Management, and Business Administration major
  • Minimum 1–2 years experience in import or customs processes
  • Experience in Logistics and Warehouse process
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Frequent user of Microsoft Office such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English
