Job summary

PT. Sitoy Leather Products Indonesia is seeking an experienced Import Assistant Officer to support our Kendal facility's import operations.

You will manage import documents, including LC, invoices, packing lists and bills of lading, ensure compliance with Indonesian regulations, and coordinate with suppliers, forwarders, and customs authorities. Fluency in English is required; SAP/ERP experience, sharp analytical skills, and strong teamwork are essential to ensure accurate data and on-time

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma (D3) in Logistics or related field.
• Over 4 years of import/shipping experience, with supervisory exposure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Trade, or related field.
• Knowledge of SEZ/Bonded Zone regulations in Indonesia.
• Experience using SAP/ERP systems and import document handling.

Responsibilities

• Manage import documentation (LCs, invoices, packing lists, bills of lading) and related records.
• Ensure compliance with Indonesian customs regulations and import rules.
• Coordinate with suppliers, forwarders, and customs authorities for clearance.
• Verify data accuracy before submission to customs authorities.
• Monitor shipment tracking from departure to warehouse receipt.
• Collaborate with Finance on supplier payments and reconciliation.
• Prepare periodic import reports and maintain organized records.
• Provide administrative support and handle supervisor tasks.
• Resolve issues arising during the import process promptly.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Import Assistant Officer to join the Import/Export & Customs team at PT. Sitoy Leather Products Indonesia.

As an Import Assistant Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing import processes, documentation, and compliance with customs regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of import procedures, customs regulations, and international documentation management.

You will work full-time at our facility in Kendal Regency, Central Java, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of our company’s logistics activities.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all import documentation processes, including Letters of Credit (LC), invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and other customs-related documents.

Ensure compliance with customs regulations and applicable import regulations in Indonesia and the country of origin.

Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs authorities to ensure smooth import clearance processes.

Verify import data and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to submission to customs authorities.

Manage shipment tracking and monitoring systems, from the shipping stage until the goods arrive at the warehouse.

Coordinate with the Finance Department regarding supplier payments and document reconciliation.

Prepare periodic import reports and maintain well-organized records of all import transactions.

Provide administrative support to the team and handle specific tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Resolve any issues or challenges arising during the import process promptly and efficiently.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

Minimum Diploma (D3) degree in Logistics, Administration, International Trade, or a related field.

More than 4 years of experience in import Shipping, with at least 1 years in a supervisory role.

Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, International Trade, Customs Administration, or related field.

Strong knowledge of SEZ / Bonded Zone regulations in Indonesia.

Hands-on experience in handling import shipping. Such as: handle import invoice and packing list, communicate with forwarder and truck agent.

Have experience of handling work with SAP/ERP system.

Fluent in English (mandatory); Mandarin is a strong advantage.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
