PT Translindo Nusa Pacific is seeking a logistics-focused professional to coordinate shipments, manage import documentation and ensure customs compliance. You will liaise with brokers, monitor bookings, and provide accurate status updates to key accounts.
The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail, with 2–3+ years in freight forwarding or logistics customer service. Microsoft Office proficiency and adaptability are essential in a fast-paced environment.
Shipment Coordination: Receive and process import bookings from overseas offices or agents. Monitor vessel and flight positions to track shipments from origin to destination.
Documentation Management: Verify and handle critical import documents, including Bills of Lading (B/L), Arrival Notices, Commercial Invoices, and Packing Lists.
Customs & Compliance: Handle local Indonesian customs requirements, including the preparation and submission of Pemberitahuan Impor Barang (PIB - Import Goods Declaration) via the Indonesian Customs system (CEISA). Liaise with customs brokers to ensure timely clearance of inbound shipments and verify that all cargo adheres to international shipping regulations.
Client Communication: Act as the first point of contact for key accounts, providing shipment status updates, resolving complaints, and advising on freight rates or delivery schedules.
Financial Duties: Prepare billing requests, monitor freight releases, and ensure accurate invoicing for client accounts.
Delivery Logistics: Coordinate with internal transport teams or external carriers to arrange last-mile delivery to the consignee's premises.
Job Requirements:
Communication skills:Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential for dealing with clients and various internal and external stakeholders.
Logistics knowledge:A solid understanding of global logistics, shipping regulations, and documentation. Understanding Incoterms and HS codes is essential.
Problem-solving:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively and quickly handle unexpected issues or customer complaints.
Attention to detail:Meticulous attention to detail is crucial for handling complex and multifaceted tasks, especially with documentation.
Technical proficiency:Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience:A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in customer service within the freight forwarding or logistics industry is often required.
Adaptability:The ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment is highly valued.
