Job summary

PT GENOMIK SOLIDARITAS INDONESIA is seeking an Import Officer to manage end-to-end international shipments, focusing on import clearance and documentation. You will liaise with Mandarin-speaking suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely, compliant delivery.

The role requires 2–4 years in import roles, Mandarin and English proficiency, and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment in Jakarta.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Management, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Laboratory Technology, or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in Import, Customs Clearance, or International Supply Chain roles.
• Strong understanding of import processes, customs clearance procedures, and international trade regulations (experience in medical devices is a plus).
• Proficient in handling import documentation (PIB, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, BL, AWB, COO, permits).
• Fluent in Mandarin (written and spoken) with at least HSK 4 (HSK 5 preferred).
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end import operations and customs clearance processes for international shipments.
• Communicate effectively with overseas suppliers (Mandarin-speaking), shipping lines, and freight forwarders regarding documentation, shipping schedules, and order tracking.
• Prepare, review, and maintain complete import documentation to ensure smooth customs processing.
• Handle import licenses/permits and ensure full compliance with Indonesian customs and trade regulations.
• Classify imported goods based on HS Code and calculate applicable import duties, taxes, and charges.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, custom brokers, and logistics providers to arrange international transportation and inland delivery.
• Monitor shipment status to ensure timely delivery to the warehouse.
• Resolve issues related to customs, shipping documentation, or port authorities.
• Maintain records and reporting of import transactions, shipping costs, and lead times.
• Ensure all import operations run efficiently and in accordance with SOPs.

Coordinate with freight forwarders, custom brokers (PPJK), and logistics providers to arrange international transportation and inland delivery

Monitor and track shipment status proactively to ensure timely delivery of goods to the warehouse

Resolve any issues or delays related to customs, shipping documentation, or port authorities

Maintain structured records and reporting of all import transactions, shipping costs, and lead times

Ensure all import operations run efficiently, on time, and in accordance with company standard operating procedures (SOP)
