MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company SA is seeking a diligent Sales Executive in Medan to monitor leads, contact potential shippers, and quote rates based on tariffs or manager instructions. You will coordinate with trade managers and document weekly visit plans and reports while gathering market intelligence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field; fresh graduates up to 1 year in shipping/forwarding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure Sales Lead is sent to the right PIC and follow up results.
• Call potential shippers to explore prospect shipments/bookings.
• Offer and quote rates to shippers based on tariffs or manager instructions.
• Coordinate with other sales and trade managers when quoting or following up with customers.
• Submit visit plans for the following week and prepare visit reports for review by Sales Manager and Trade Managers.
• During visits, gather market rate fluctuations, competitor activity, and other relevant information for Trade Managers.

Job Description

• To monitor and ensure Sales Lead send to the right PIC as well as following up the result.
• To call any potential shipper and get their prospect shipment / booking.
• Offering and quoting rate to shipper based on tariff rates or instruction from Trade Manager.
• Co-ordinate with other sales and or trade manager in quoting a rate or follow up a customer.
• Submit plan of visit for the following week and make a visit report after sales call in which both will be reviewed by Sales Manager and all Trade managers.
• During visit, sales digging any necessary information such as fluctuation of the market rates, competitor’s activity, and other information needed and feeding Trade Managers both oral and or visit report.
• Following up the discussion during their visit by sending e-mail or call and asking customer plan of shipment, prospect booking, and offering rate.
• Performing any other duties as assigned by Sales Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in any field,
• College fresh graduate up to 1 year experience in shipping/forwarding is preferred,
• Good team player, fast learner and innovative,
• Good English proficiency both verbal and written.
• Strong sense of innovation and initiative
• Result driven & customer focused
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Excellent negotiation and communications skills
