Job summary

Soechi Group in Central Jakarta is seeking an experienced Hydraulic Supervisor to oversee hydraulic systems across the fleet. You will manage maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance of hydraulic equipment, coordinating with vessel engineers and procurement to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The role involves site and vessel visits, technical guidance to engineering teams, and collaboration with external service providers. Travel to vessels is required to support ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with hydraulic systems on vessels or marine equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to plan and oversee maintenance activities across a fleet.
• Proven ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams in a technical environment.
• Willingness to travel to vessels as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders on hydraulic matters across the fleet.
• Supervise vessel engineering teams in maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and overhaul of hydraulic systems.
• Support the Technical Superintendent in hydraulic technical matters both in office and onboard.
• Conduct vessel visits to inspect hydraulic machinery and components.
• Diagnose hydraulic problems, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor hydraulic equipment condition (pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, hoses, piping, power packs, controls).
• Review maintenance/repair work for quality and compliance with requirements.
• Provide technical recommendations to Purchasing/Procurement on equipment and spares.
• Assist in evaluating quotations for hydraulic equipment, parts, repairs and services.
• Coordinate with external hydraulic service providers and vendors for support and parts.
• Maintain detailed records of hydraulic equipment and activities.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Hydraulic Supervisor to support the technical management, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance of hydraulic systems and equipment across our fleet.

The role will work closely with the Technical Superintendent, vessel engineering teams, Procurement, and external vendors to ensure hydraulic equipment is maintained and operated safely, reliably, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders regarding hydraulic system and equipment technical matters across the fleet.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to vessel engineering teams in the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of hydraulic systems and equipment.
• Support the Technical Superintendent in managing hydraulic-related technical matters both in the office and onboard vessels.
• Conduct vessel visits and inspections to assess the condition and performance of hydraulic machinery, systems, and components.
• Diagnose hydraulic system problems, identify root causes, and recommend appropriate repair and corrective actions.
• Monitor the condition and performance of hydraulic equipment, including hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, hoses, piping, power packs, and control systems.
• Review hydraulic maintenance and repair work to ensure proper quality, reliability, and compliance with technical requirements.
• Provide technical recommendations to the Purchasing/Procurement team regarding hydraulic equipment, spare parts, specifications, and service requirements.
• Assist in the review and evaluation of quotations for hydraulic equipment, spare parts, repairs, and technical services, considering both technical suitability and cost effectiveness.
• Coordinate with external hydraulic service providers, manufacturers, workshops, and vendors for technical support, repairs, spare parts, and specialized services.
