FLEET ELECTRICAL SUPERVISOR
About the Role
We are looking for a Fleet Electrical Supervisor to support the technical management, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electrical and automation systems across our fleet.
The role will work closely with the Electrical Superintendent, vessel electrical teams, Procurement, and external vendors to ensure electrical maintenance and repair activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders on electrical and automation technical matters across the fleet.
- Supervise and provide technical support to vessel electrical teams in carrying out maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and other electrical activities.
- Support the Electrical Superintendent in managing electrical technical matters both in the office and onboard vessels.
- Conduct technical training and interviews for electrical personnel and technical operators as required.
- Accompany the Electrical Superintendent during vessel visits, inspections, troubleshooting, and technical assignments when required.
- Assess the quality and effectiveness of electrical repair and maintenance work and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Provide technical recommendations to the Purchasing/Procurement team regarding electrical and automation equipment, spare parts, specifications, and cost viability.
- Assist in the review and approval of quotations related to electrical and automation equipment, spare parts, and services.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with external vendors and service providers for electrical and automation equipment and services.
- Maintain detailed records of electrical maintenance and repair activities, including initiatives that contribute to cost savings and operational efficiency.
- Develop and document best practices for electrical and automation repair and maintenance across the fleet.
- Identify opportunities to improve electrical maintenance processes, reliability, and efficiency.
- Assist in reviewing and updating the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) for fleet electrical and automation equipment.
- Ensure proper documentation of electrical maintenance, repairs, inspections, technical recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Monitor the implementation of electrical maintenance standards and best practices across assigned vessels.
- Provide technical guidance and support to vessel electrical personnel to ensure work is performed safely and effectively.
- Perform other fleet electrical and technical assignments as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, or supervision, preferably within marine, offshore, or industrial environments.
- Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge and a genuine interest in the marine industry are welcome to apply.
- Experience supervising or coordinating electrical teams is preferred.
- Good understanding of marine electrical systems, automation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Willing to work in a marine industry environment and travel onboard vessels as required.
- Willing to travel across Indonesia for vessel visits and technical assignments.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with multinational and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical and cost-conscious approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant applications.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
