SHIPYARD ENGINEERING LEAD

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Shipyard Engineering Lead to lead and coordinate engineering activities related to ship repair, maintenance, dry-docking, conversion, and shipyard projects.

The role will be responsible for ensuring engineering work is properly planned, executed, monitored, and completed in accordance with approved technical specifications, project schedules, safety requirements, quality standards, and applicable maritime regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate engineering activities for ship repair, maintenance, dry-docking, conversion, and shipyard projects.

• Review technical requirements, specifications, drawings, work scopes, and engineering documentation for assigned projects.

• Coordinate with shipyard teams, vessel crews, Technical Superintendents, Marine teams, Class, Flag representatives, contractors, and vendors.

• Monitor engineering progress and ensure work is completed according to the approved project schedule, technical specifications, and quality requirements.

• Supervise and coordinate contractors and subcontractors involved in shipyard engineering and repair activities.

• Conduct regular inspections to verify the quality and progress of engineering and repair works.

• Review technical proposals, drawings, method statements, material specifications, and engineering calculations where applicable.
