Job summary

Semarang Marriott Hotel is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead all aspects of property operations, guest satisfaction, and financial performance. You will drive strategic initiatives, sales leadership, and brand compliance for Marriott and JW brands.

The ideal candidate has pre-opening or conversion experience in Indonesia, is fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, and will build strong relationships with local officials, teams, and owners to deliver exceptional results.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 8 years' experience in the management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related professional area.
• 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 6 years' experience in the management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related professional area.

Responsibilities

• Stays current with industry trends and oversees strategy development to maximize guest satisfaction, profitability, and market share.
• Executes business plans and ensures alignment with Marriott/JW brand strategies; holds leadership teams accountable for delivery.
• Leads Sales and Marketing collaboration to generate revenue and aligns with brand strategy across the property.
• Creates a high-performance Executive Committee and implements development plans for leadership and direct reports.
• Champions the Marriott/JW brand values in leadership actions and maintains strong external partnerships.
• Analyzes business information to monitor market conditions, profitability, and operational performance.
