Job summary

JAPFA FOOD INDONESIA is seeking a capable General Trade (GT) Sales Lead to supervise the GT sales team, achieve sales targets, and expand distribution across traditional markets, wholesalers, retailers, and other GT outlets. You will monitor daily activities and provide reports to management.

The ideal candidate has a D3/S1 in Management or Marketing with 2–3 years in GT sales in FMCG, strong leadership and negotiation skills, and the ability to conduct frequent field visits to grow the customer

Qualifications

• Minimum education in management or marketing.
• 2–3 years of GT sales experience in FMCG preferred.
• Experience leading a sales team is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the General Trade (GT) sales team to achieve targets and distribution objectives.
• Develop and implement GT sales strategies based on territory potential and market conditions.
• Manage and expand distribution coverage across traditional markets, wholesalers, retailers, and other GT outlets.
• Monitor daily sales activities, customer visits, order achievement, outlet coverage, and distribution.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base within the assigned territory.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and key customers.
• Monitor product availability, stock levels, and distribution to ensure optimal market coverage.
• Analyze sales performance, market trends, competitor activities, and territory potential.
• Conduct regular field visits and provide coaching and guidance to Sales Representatives.
• Prepare sales reports and provide insights and recommendations to management.
• Ensure sales activities comply with company policies, procedures, and commercial guidelines.
