Job summary

JAPFA FOOD INDONESIA seeks a proactive GT Sales Lead to guide and supervise the General Trade sales team in achieving targets and expanding distribution across traditional markets, wholesalers, retailers, and other GT outlets.

You will develop GT sales strategies based on territory potential and market conditions, monitor activities, and identify opportunities to grow the customer base while maintaining strong relationships with distributors and key accounts.

Qualifications

• Minimum D3/S1 in Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in General Trade / Traditional Trade sales, preferably in FMCG, Food & Beverage, or Consumer Goods.
• Experience managing a sales team.
• Strong understanding of GT distribution, territory management, outlet coverage, and sales execution.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Target-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Willing to conduct frequent field visits within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the General Trade (GT) sales team to achieve sales targets and distribution objectives.
• Develop and implement effective GT sales strategies based on territory potential and market conditions.
• Manage and expand distribution coverage across traditional markets, wholesalers, retailers, and other GT outlets.
• Monitor daily sales activities, customer visits, order achievement, outlet coverage, and distribution.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base within the assigned territory.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and key customers.
• Monitor product availability, stock levels, and distribution to ensure optimal market coverage.
• Analyze sales performance, market trends, competitor activities, and territory potential.
• Conduct regular field visits and provide coaching and guidance to Sales Representatives.
• Prepare sales reports and provide insights and recommendations to management.
• Ensure sales activities comply with company policies, procedures, and commercial guidelines.
