About the role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager to lead our operations in Banyuwangi, East Java. This is a full-time position that holds significant strategic importance within PT NOVA MODULAR INDONESIA. As General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our business operations in the region, driving performance, ensuring profitability, and representing the company at the highest levels. You will play a crucial role in implementing our company vision and executing our business strategy whilst managing all operational, financial, and personnel responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

Oversee all operational activities and ensure efficient day-to-day management of the Banyuwangi facility

Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with company objectives, driving revenue growth and market expansion

Manage and optimise budgets, financial forecasts, and performance metrics to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness

Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards and company policies

Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for business development

Oversee quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives across all operations

Report regularly on operational performance and business metrics to senior management

Represent the company in external communications and negotiations with major clients and business partners

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering or a related discipline

Minimum 10+ years of senior management experience, with at least 5 years in a General Manager or equivalent leadership role

Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale operations and achieving financial targets

Strong experience in the modular construction, industrial manufacturing, or related sectors

Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, business development and operational management

Excellent financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, analyse performance data and drive profitability

Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to build, motivate and develop high-performing teams

Strong negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities

Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English; proficiency in Indonesian is essential

Knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies (such as Lean or Six Sigma) is preferred

Experience in managing regulatory compliance and health and safety standards is advantageous

Willingness to be based in Banyuwangi, East Java
