Job summary

PT Golden Ocean Line seeks an Electrical Superintendent to monitor vessels’ electrical performance, manage budgets, and coordinate dry-docking and repairs. You will ensure compliance with international regulations and class society requirements, and review POs and technical requisitions.

The role requires 3 years of sailing or shore experience, strong project management, and English proficiency. You will work with Operations, Crewing, Commercial and Procurement to optimize vessel operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Electrical, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or equivalent qualification fields.
• 3 years of sailing experience as an electrician rank, or shore experience as Electrical Superintendent beneficial.
• Experience as Class Surveyors will be beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of vessel electrical requirements and voyage regulations.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Good organisation skills and time management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vessels’ electrical performance, maintenance activities, PMS, and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with classification society, flag state and international regulations.
• Prepare and monitor annual electrical budgets and control costs.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise dry-docking, repairs, overhauls and shore-based services.
• Review and approve purchase orders and technical requisitions within limits.
• Monitor vessel safety, electrical condition and maintenance standards; implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Operations, Crewing, Commercial and Procurement for efficient operations.
• Conduct periodic vessel inspections and technical surveys to assess condition and actions.
• Review vessel electrical reports, follow up on defects and outstanding repairs.

Job description

Our company PT Golden Ocean Line operates and owns bulk carrier in Indonesia. We are fast leading shipping, warehouse and container yard provider in Indonesia.

Key responsibilities:

Monitor assigned vessels’ electrical performance, maintenance activities, PMS, and operating budgets.

Ensure compliance with classification society, flag state, and applicable international maritime regulations.

Prepare and monitor annual electrical budgets and control maintenance and repair costs.

Plan, coordinate, and supervise dry-docking, vessel repairs, overhauls, and shore-based technical services.

Review and approve purchase orders (POs) and technical requisitions within the authorized limits.

Monitor vessel safety, electrical condition, and maintenance standards, and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Coordinate with the Operations, Crewing, Commercial and Procurement departments to ensure efficient vessel operations.

Conduct periodic vessel inspections and technical surveys to assess vessel condition and identify maintenance and safety corrective actions.

Review vessel electrical reports, follow up on defects and outstanding repairs, and report any electrical issues to management.

Requirement:

• Graduated from Electrical, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture of equivalent qualification fields
• 3 years of sailing experience of any electrician rank, or shore experience as a Electrical Superintendent with a ship management / owning company will be beneficial
• Experienced as Class Surveyors will be beneficial
• Strong knowledge of vessel’s electrical requirements and voyage regulations
• Excellent project management skills
• Good organisation skills
• Good time management
