JW Marriott Surabaya is seeking a Demi Chef - Pastry to prepare specialty pastries and assist in maintaining high quality, portioning and presentation. You will manage oven temperatures, thaw items, and ensure proper garnishing while supporting daily kitchen operations in Surabaya, Indonesia.

Ideal candidates have a Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree with related work experience; while supervision is not required, you will collaborate with a seasoned culinary team to deliver

Qualificações

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree required.
• At least 3 years of related work experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes, portion control and presentation standards.
• No supervisory experience required for this role.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare special meals or substitute items according to recipes and standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters.
• Thaw and prep food, ensure proper portioning and garnish.
• Maintain food logs and monitor quality/quantity.
• Communicate needs during busy periods to Chef and staff.
• Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching staff.
