Job summary

JW Marriott Jakarta is seeking an Executive Pastry Chef to lead the pastry operations at the Jakarta Marriott Hotel Gelora. You will supervise the pastry team, craft high-quality pastries for all outlets and events, and ensure consistency with brand standards while managing the department's budget.

You will mentor staff, uphold sanitation and food safety, and collaborate with the Executive Chef on pastry menu development and special guest functions in a luxury hotel setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area.
• OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pastry department and staff performance.
• Ensure sanitation and food safety standards are met.
• Develop and prepare pastries for all outlets and events.
• Lead pastry classes and community demonstrations.
• Assist Executive Chef with pastry menu development.
