Job summary

English 1 Indonesia is a leading English education provider with centers across the country. The Center Director (CD) will lead a busy center, ensuring academic excellence, operational efficiency, and outstanding customer satisfaction to drive enrolment and retention.

Reporting to the Partner or CD Coordinator, the CD will work with Directors of Studies and regional support teams to grow the center, manage day-to-day operations, and develop talent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
• Experience in sales and marketing with a track record of meeting targets.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a multifaceted operation.
• Ability to problem-solve and make data-driven decisions.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Preferred: experience with multicultural teams; basic finance knowledge; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Set and monitor KPIs with Regional Director and Central Support Team.
• Develop local marketing initiatives to build brand awareness and attract new students.
• Oversee and support the sales team in achieving enrolment and revenue targets.
• Partner with the Director of Studies to enhance academic quality, student engagement, and retention.
• Oversee daily center operations, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, policies, and SOPs.
• Promote seamless collaboration across departments to optimise workflows and productivity.
• Ensure IT and systems meet operational standards and that records are maintained.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that aligns with Center standards.
• Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent to build a high-performing team.
• Provide ongoing training, coaching, and development opportunities.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Monitor performance to align with center goals and expectations.
