English 1 Indonesia is seeking a Director of Studies to lead the academic team, ensuring high-quality teaching and adherence to KPIs across centers nationwide. You will collaborate with Sales, Service, and AOM to optimize student outcomes and center performance.

The Director of Studies works alongside Sales and Service teams to support the CD (or the Lead DoS/DoS Coordinator if there is one) in the management and development of the academic team and adherence to operational performance indicators such as production efficiency, new student conversion, staff and student retention, and customer satisfaction.
40-hour workweek (over 5-6 days), as scheduled by the Center Director (CD)
15-21 Academic Classroom Hours (ACH) per week (1 ACH = 40 minutes)
Overtime remuneration applies for work exceeding:
40 total hours per week
Onsite and offsite teaching duties
Morning and afternoon shifts may be required on the same day
May be assigned to any center within the Partner Group but will primarily work at one
The Director of Studies reports to the Center Director (CD), Lead DoS/DoS Coordinator, and Partner.
The Director of Studies will consult with the appointed Academic Operations Manager (AOM).
Develop and maintain effective communication channels at the team, center, group, and national levels. Ensure that academic team members, the CD, Senior DoS, and AOMs are all kept up to date on center academic affairs and results. Ensure that Senior DoSs and the AOM are consulted regularly about group and national programs and initiatives.
Meet with CD regularly to maintain awareness of all center KPIs as well as progress toward them.
Support the sales team by ensuring that placement testing and demo classes are done when needed, and to the highest quality.
Support the service team by coordinating communication between teachers and PAs and ensuring that all necessary data is provided for Parent Communication Events.
Liaise with the CD and other supervisors to ensure the effective scheduling of classes, extra-curricular activities, and events in accordance with English 1 guidelines and with the center’s KPIs on utility, group size, and capacity in mind.
Train and induct teachers in operational procedures and English 1 company products.
Encourage, facilitate, and participate in the professional development of teachers. Teacher development must include observation, training and support, and evaluation and assessment.
Bachelor’s degree (any field)
Recognized 120-hour TEFL certification
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Commitment to ongoing professional development
A minimum of 6 years EFL teaching experience (external candidates)
Experience teaching students aged 3-18 years old
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Highly motivated, adaptable, and able to work under pressure
Professional, punctual, and detail-oriented
Customer service mindset and team-oriented attitude
