The Center Director (CD) is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and growth of an English 1 center. This role ensures academic excellence, operational efficiency, and outstanding customer satisfaction to drive student enrolment and retention. The CD fosters a positive and collaborative team culture while upholding the English 1 Center Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Supported by the regional support team, they work to enhance center performance and achieve business objectives.
The CD reports to the Partner or CD Coordinator and maintains strong communication lines with:
Director of Studies
Regional Director (RD)
Regional Sales & Marketing Manager (RSMM)
Regional Retention Sales and Service Manager (RSSM)
Regional Academic Operations Manager (AOM)
Regional Marketing Coordinator (RMC)
Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with the Regional Director and Central Support Team.
Develop and execute local marketing initiatives to build brand awareness and attract new students.
Oversee and support the sales team in achieving enrolment and revenue targets.
Partner with the Director of Studies to enhance academic quality, student engagement, and retention.
Oversee daily center operations, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements, company policies, and SOPs.
Promote seamless collaboration across departments to optimise workflows and productivity.
Ensure IT and computer systems meet operational standards and that all student and business records are accurately maintained.
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that aligns with English 1 Center standards.
Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent to build a high-performing team.
Provide ongoing training, coaching, and professional development opportunities for all staff.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Monitor individual and team performance, ensuring alignment with center goals and expectations.
Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Business Management or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
Experience in sales and marketing with a track record of meeting targets.
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a multifaceted operation.
Ability to problem-solve and make data-driven decisions.
Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure.
Experience working with multicultural teams.
Basic finance management knowledge.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant business tools.
