Job summary

zebratasty in Hong Kong’s Wong Chuk Hang area seeks an experienced Operation Manager - Institutional Food Service to oversee daily operations of the institutional catering division. This full-time role focuses on delivering high-quality meals, rigorous safety standards, and outstanding service across all accounts.

You will drive operations performance, manage a growing team, and collaborate with clients and suppliers to ensure service excellence and profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience in large-scale institutional catering operations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to analyse operations data and optimise performance.

Responsibilities

• Daily P&L reports.
• Daily briefings & reviews with unit managers.
• Daily incident reports.
• Ensure on-time and accurate external reporting.
• Ensure product consistency and critical points.
• Conduct wastage and menu popularity analysis.
• Host regular reviews with PTA/school representatives.
• Maintain team cohesiveness & satisfaction.
• Replace, hire & train new operational team members.
• Lead new accounts opening (supplier onboarding, recruitment, renovation).
• Set up backup meal, driver pool.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operation Manager - Institutional Food Service to join zebratasty in Wong Chuk Hang, Southern District. This is a full-time position that offers a strategic opportunity to oversee and optimise the daily operations of our institutional food service delivery. As Operation Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless service delivery, maintaining exceptional food quality and safety standards, and driving operational excellence across our food service operations. This role is central to our mission of providing outstanding institutional catering services and directly impacts client satisfaction, team performance and business profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting

• Daily P&L reports
• Daily briefings & review with unit managers
• Daily incident reports

Quality control and service standards

• Ensuring on-time and accurate external reporting
• Ensuring product consistency and critical points
• Conduct food wastage, menu popularity analysis
• Host regular reviews with PTA/school’s representative
• Maintain team cohesiveness & satisfaction
• Replace, hire & train new operational team members
• Lead new accounts opening (supplier onboarding, team recruitment, renovation lead)
• Set-up back-up meal ladies & driver pool

Marketing support

• Support initiatives & marketing programs

Solid experience with retail or corporate F&B operation roles preferred
