Job summary

Chandler Macleod Group (HK) Limited is seeking an IT Procurement Specialist for a banking project in Hong Kong. You will prepare tender documents, analyze quotations, and drive savings while ensuring value for money and alignment with project scope.

You will develop procurement strategies with vendors, negotiate terms, manage contracts, monitor costs, and support project meetings to ensure procurement aligns with end-user needs and corporate standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Engineering or related fields.
• 3–5 years of relevant procurement or cost management experience, preferably IT-related.
• Exceptional negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors/contractors.
• Fluency in English and Cantonese.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze tender documents, bid proposals, and contractor quotations to ensure competitive pricing and value for money.
• Perform cost analysis and value engineering to identify potential savings without compromising quality or project scope.
• Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies for materials, equipment, and services for renovation projects, coordinating with Calibra for initial sourcing.
• Compare and analyze vendor/subcontractor bid-day quotes and proposals, negotiating favorable terms and pricing.
• Communicate with main contractors, subcontractors, and vendors regarding project requirements, specifications, and timelines.
• Establish and maintain a procurement log for subcontractor and vendor material/equipment.
• Evaluate vendor performance and manage vendor relationships to ensure high-quality service and timely delivery.
• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and administering contracts; ensure compliance with payment schedules, variations, and claims.
• Participate in regular project meetings to provide procurement and cost-related insights and align with end-user requirements.

Job Requirements

• Exceptional negotiation skills are critical for this role, alongside excellent conflict resolution and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors/contractors.
• Proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English and Cantonese communication is a must
