Job summary

Hong Kong Dental Association seeks an IT Officer to support and coordinate a CMS-based system project, including installation, configuration, and data migration for a smooth rollout. You will train users, create guides, and provide first-line IT helpdesk support for hardware, software, and network issues.

You will also maintain the Association's webpage and social media channels, assist with multimedia production, and provide on-site tech support for events, with occasional outdoor duties.

Qualifications

• Relevant diploma or degree in information technology or related disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar IT support role is preferrable.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese for effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Support and coordinate CMS system project implementation and training sessions.
• Provide first-line IT helpdesk support for hardware, software and network issues.
• Maintain desktops/laptops, printers, mobile devices and other IT equipment.
• Update the Association's webpage and social media channels.

Job description

Support and Co-ordinate a system project for the smooth project implementation, including but not limited to:

• Assist users for the installation, network and data migration and configuration;
• conduct training sessions, provide guidance, and create user guides for the users of CMS;
• Attend to the technical hotline to provide IT helpdesk service and technical support for hardware, software and network-related problems concerning for the CMS
• Coordinate with the CMS vendor and monitor system performance to ensure data integrity and security
• Provide first-line technical support to the office, including but not limited to install, configure and maintain desktops and laptops, printers, mobile device, other IT equipment and electronic office appliances, and see to normal operation of the network, application system, software;
• Coordinate with external IT service providers and vendors for hardware, software and network support;
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Maintain and update the webpage and social media channels of the Association
• Assist the Association offices in multimedia production, including but not limited to video filming and editing
• Set up equipment for online and in-person meetings and provide on-site technical support as necessary
• Provide onsite IT support for events/lectures of the Association
• Perform any other appropriate duties as assigned

Requirements

• Relevant diploma or degree in information technology or related disciplines
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar IT support role is preferrable
• Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivated, detailed-oriented, able to work independently with good interpersonal skills and a continuous learning mindset
• Proficiency in using a variety of software applications, operating systems, and hardware, with knowledge of updating webpages using original code (e.g. HTML and CSS)
• Knowledge in computer server network setup and maintenance
• Experience in shooting and editing short videos is advantageous
• Good communication and customer service skills to effectively assist users in a positive manner
• Proficiency in English and Chinese to effectively communicate with diverse users
• Willingness to perform outdoor work and attend job duties outside normal office hour occasionally
• Immediate available is highly preferred
• Candidates with more experience will be considered for the position of IT Officer
