Reporting to the Head of Information Technologist, the Project Officer is responsible for providing daily operational support for IT and audio‑visual (AV) facilities in classrooms and laboratories during assigned evening, weekend, and public holiday shifts. The incumbent will set up, maintain, and troubleshoot interactive TVs, microphones, audio systems, computers, projectors, and other teaching‑related equipment to ensure smooth classroom operations. They will provide first‑line technical support to academic staff, students, and administrative users by responding to and resolving enquiries, incidents, and service requests in a timely manner. The role also involves conducting regular equipment inspections and preventive maintenance in classrooms and laboratories, as well as supporting both Windows and Mac environments, including software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. In addition, the position assists with the setup and operation of IT and AV equipment for online meetings, webinars, hybrid events, video conferences, and virtual conferences, while providing on‑site technical support for lectures, seminars, examinations, events, and special activities. The incumbent will also support live streaming and broadcasting platforms through system setup, operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting, and perform other IT administrative and support duties as assigned by the supervisors.
Appointment will be on a two‑year renewable contract, subject to performance and mutual agreement. A gratuity payment may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract. Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental benefits. The starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
