Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to operate, monitor, and maintain critical electrical systems in data centre environments. You will ensure uptime, safety, and SLA adherence while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

The ideal candidate has a degree in electrical engineering and at least five years in data centres or critical facilities, with hands-on experience in UPS, generators, switchgear, and power distribution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on data centre or critical facility experience.
• Deep knowledge of UPS, backup generators, switchgear, and power distribution.
• Facility with BMS/DCIM tools and electrical safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain critical electrical systems including HV/LV switchgear, UPS, generators.
• Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to maximize system uptime and redundancy.
• Support commissioning upgrades, and CAPEX projects for infrastructure scalability.

What this job involves:

Operate, monitor, and maintain critical electrical systems including HV / LV switchgear, UPS, generators etc. Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to maximize system uptime an redundancy Respond swiftly to electrical faults and alarms with rigous root cause analysis and resolution Support commissioning updgrades, and CAPEX projects for infrastructure scalability Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, statutory regulations, and operational SLAs Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize energy use and support sustainability goals

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in data centre or critical facility electrical systems REW B0 / C0 is required In‑depth knowledge of UPS, backup generators, switchgear, and power distribution architectures Facility with BMS / DCIM tools and electrical safety standards Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a high‑availability
