JLL Hong Kong is seeking a Regional Engineering Manager to lead the engineering strategy across APAC multi-site portfolios, ensuring compliance with regional and global standards and delivering high-quality technical services.

You will report to the Regional Engineering Director, drive operational efficiency, manage capital projects, oversee data centre and office facility services, and coordinate with global teams on power, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering.
  • Min. 5 years of engineering management experience; Data Centre preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of Data Center building services design and management.
  • Experience in Asia Pacific, North Asia preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monthly and quarterly reporting on Data Centre metrics and operations.
  • Track energy-saving initiatives aligned to SMP.
  • Coordinate with sub-regional teams on engineering initiatives.
  • Support QA and pre-work reviews for change management.
  • Power-down planning and regional coordination with global teams.
  • Attend weekly meetings on Global Real Estate change activities.
  • Oversee major works and capital projects.
  • Coordinate capacity and utilization for offices, Data Centres, and server rooms.
  • Govern drawings, OEM information, and SOPs across country teams.
  • Support engineering standardization across Asia Pacific.
  • Ensure account engineering playbook compliance.
  • Govern contract renewals for technical scope with vendors.
  • Perform QA on completed JLL projects.
  • Audit preparation and attestations for compliance.
  • Review capital expenditure proposals from budgeting to delivery.

What this job involves:

The Regional Engineering Manager will be part of the Workplace Operations team responsible for supporting the engineering strategy across the region for the client’s multi-site property portfolio; ensuring compliance with JLL, client and statutory requirements and responsible for technical and contractual quality assurance on behalf of a client to ensure the managed buildings across APAC are compliant to country, regional, global compliance and technical standards.

The Regional Engineering Manager will report to the Regional Engineering Director. They must ensure these services are positioned to ensure efficient, effective, and consistent operations to meet both legislative and contractual obligations.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Responsible for monthly and quarterly reporting on colocation and corporate real estate Data Centre metrics and operations

  • Support Energy Manager in tracking of energy saving initiatives across the corporate real estate portfolio aligned to the Sustainability Management Plan (SMP)

  • Work closely with sub-regional engineering teams on implementation and governance of engineering initiatives

  • Key Change management technical quality assurance support/pre-work documentation review. Support change management submissions.

  • Track and support power down planning across the region including liaising with global teams on event schedule co-ordination

  • Attend weekly meetings with internal Lines of Business on Global Real Estate related change activities and their impact to business

  • Major works support (including small works and capitalized projects)

  • Capacity and utilization coordination, reviews and reporting for office tenancy, Data Centre and server rooms

  • Support and track engineering regulatory compliance management

  • Technical reporting submissions for portfolio objectives, regular meetings, data centre performance

  • Support governance of drawings, OEM information and SOPS/EOPS for in country teams

  • Support for engineering standardization tasks across Asia Pacific

  • Support the account engineering playbook compliance

  • Contract renewal governance of the technical scope with critical services vendors

  • Quality assurance checks of completed JLL delivered projects

  • Governance reviews of any planned JLL installation, commissioning, and programming of new or replaced equipment to ensure plans, designs, scopes, and goals are accurate

  • Review of all maintenance reports to ensure maintenance is conducted appropriately and performance issues are followed up

  • Responsible for audit preparation, delivery, and attestations of compliance for JLL and the client

  • Perform reviews of proposed capital expenditure buildings services projects from budgeting through to delivery inclusive critical asset & component lifecycle management.

  • Undertake adhoc tasks as required by the Regional Engineering Director

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering

  • Min. 5 years of relevant engineering management, including Data Centre management preferred or other relevant experience also considered

  • Thorough understanding of Data Center building services design and Data Center engineering management

  • Experience working in Asia Pacific desired, specifically North Asia
