Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) is seeking a skilled facilities leader to manage day-to-day operations and maintenance of our school facilities on site in Hong Kong. You will oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security and building automation systems while leading a team of in-house technicians and coordinating with external contractors.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, at least five years in facilities management, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of facilities management experience in educational, institutional, or multi-building environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems (MEP) and ability to troubleshoot.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations and maintenance of school facilities on site.
• Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security and building automation systems.
• Lead a team of in-house technicians and coordinate with external contractors.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, health & safety, and accreditation requirements.

What this job involves:

• Manage day-to-day operations and maintenance of all school facilities, including academic buildings, sport complexes, dormitories (if applicable), and grounds.
• Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security and building automation systems.
• Lead a team of in-house technicians and coordinate with external contractors for specialized services.
• Develop and implemented preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Ensure full compliance with location regulations, health & safety standards, and international school accreditation requirements.
• Manage facility-related budgets, vendor contracts and service-level agreements.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations (e.g. power outages, water leaks, security incidents).

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Services, or a related field (or requivalent practical experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of facilities management experience, preferably in educational, institutional or complex multi-building environments.
• Strong technical expertise in building systems - demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and manage mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing maintenance teams and third-party vendors.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken), additional languages are a plus.
