Job summary

HKUST invites applications for the Officer (IT) position in the Campus Management Office to support IT operations on campus. The appointee will administer Windows/Linux systems, manage VMs, assist the Cybersecurity Coordinator, and support IT projects including Smart Campus initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in IT support, system administration and IT operations.
• Proficiency in Windows/Linux systems, Active Directory and cloud platforms.
• Experience in project support and system maintenance within the real estate industry is an advantage.
• Experience in an academic or educational institution is highly desirable.
• Skills in AutoCAD, REVIT, and BIM are preferred.
• Experience with facility management systems and IoT technologies is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support IT operations and campus IT projects, including Smart Campus initiatives.
• Provide user support by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and network issues.
• Install, configure and maintain computers, servers (Windows and Linux), printers and other IT equipment.
• Administer and monitor virtual machines (VMs) and support local network devices.
• Assist the Cybersecurity Coordinator and liaise with ITSO on security compliance.
• Manage software installations and licensing; coordinate with vendors for repairs.
• Perform responsibilities as assigned by senior management.
