Job summary

The Bank of East Asia, Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Teller/Branch Operations staff to ensure daily operations comply with bank policies and deliver customer service excellence.

You will coach new tellers, assist managers with customer issues, conduct Customer Due Diligence during account openings and ensure ongoing KYC compliance, while upholding regulatory requirements and branch procedures.

Qualifications

• Level 2/Attained/Grade E or above of 5 subjects in HKCEE/HKDSE including Chinese, English and Mathematics.
• Passed the Insurance Intermediaries Qualifying Exam (Paper 1, 2, 3 or equivalent)
• Passed the Hong Kong Securities Institute Licensing Examination or an Exempted / Qualified Securities Dealer (HKSI Paper 1, 7, 8 or equivalent) is an advantage
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in banking sector as teller at branch
• Sound knowledge in branch operations, products and services
• Relevant HKIB qualification is an advantage
• HKIB Certified Bankers preferred
• Good understanding of relevant branch policies, procedures, practices, rules and compliance requirements
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the branch's daily operations and financial activities are in compliance with the Bank's policies and procedures
• Provide coaching to new joined Tellers from operation perspective
• Assist manager in handling customer’s complaints
• Provide excellent service in handling customer issues and enquiries in a timely, problem-free and responsive manner
• Perform the Customer Due Diligence during the account opening process and ensure compliance on the on-going requirements of “Know Your Customer”
• Comply with all applicable policies, rules, guidelines and regulations prescribed by regulators as well as by the Bank, and ensure all branch staff strictly comply with the same
