Job summary

Wallem Shipping (HK) Limited is seeking a Boarding Officer / Operations Executive in Hong Kong to support the Operations Manager. You will ensure vessels comply with port formalities, assist with crew movements, medical needs, and daily port agency operations.

The role involves coordinating berthing, bunkering, and husbanding services, with outdoor tasks as needed. A Form 5+ education is typical, and shipping experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Form 5 or above, minimum education requirement.
• Degree or above in related disciplines is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Arrange port formalities for tramp and cruise ships.
• Prepare invoices and receipts for Manager's review.
• Assist with crew and passenger movements and medical requirements.
• Execute daily port agency operations including berthing and bunkering.
• Manage vessel husbanding services including crew changes and provisioning.

Job description

Wallem is currently hiring a Boarding Officer / Operations Executive to assist the Operations Manager to perform vessels' compliance with sub-coordinates by attending the vessels to facilitate the port clearance procedure.

Job Responsibilities

Arrange the port formalities for the tramp and cruise ship;

Prepares invoices and receipts for Manager's review and approval;

Assists with crew and passenger movements and their medical requirements for the tramp and cruise ship;

Execute daily operations for port agency services, including the handling of port formalities, berthing arrangements, and bunkering operations;

Manage daily operations for vessel husbanding services, including crew changes, provisioning, and others requirements as specified by Ship Owners;

Perform outdoor work and ad-hoc tasks sometimes as required.

Requirements / Experience

Form 5 or above, Degree or above in related disciplines is preferred but not necessary;

Minimum 3 years' experience in shipping agency or freight forwarder, but not essential.
