Leadingnation is seeking an Assistant Manager / Supervisor for its renowned robatayaki Japanese restaurant in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in Japanese dining, supervising teams, and ensuring high service standards.

This role involves overseeing daily operations, training staff, and delivering exceptional customer service. Attractive remuneration includes a salary range of 22K-25K, monthly gratuity, and benefits such as medical insurance and annual leave.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Solid knowledge of Japanese cuisine and service etiquette.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in Cantonese and English.

Assistant Manager / Supervisor 22K-25K

Responsibilities

1. Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure service standards are consistently met.
2. Lead and supervise the service team to deliver high-quality, professional hospitality.
3. Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and special requests with a problem‑solving mindset.
4. Coordinate closely with the kitchen to ensure smooth communication and order accuracy.
5. Assist in staff training, shift scheduling, and performance monitoring.
6. Support the Restaurant Manager in executing operational procedures and opening/closing duties.
7. Deliver exceptional customer service and motivate the staff to do the same.

Requirements

1. 2-3 years working experience in Japanese restaurants, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role; fine dining experience is preferred.
2. Solid knowledge of Japanese cuisine and service etiquette.
3. Willing to learn and able to work in a high pace dining room.
4. Strong leadership and communication skills; able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
5. A team player who takes initiative and embraces challenges.
6. Must have good written and verbal communication skills in Cantonese including English and Mandarin.
7. Candidates with less experience may be considered for the Supervisor role.
