Job summary

Leading Nation HK Limited is seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to support daily operations of the restaurant and uphold the highest standards of hospitality and craftsmanship across the brand.

You will lead, train, and motivate a service team, manage shift rostering, ensure quality, hygiene, and presentation, and maintain an intimate dining atmosphere while adapting to a fast-paced, high‑standard environment.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory/Assistant Manager experience in fine-dining or high-end hospitality; yakitori/omakase experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Restaurant Manager in daily operations and service flow during lunch and dinner.
• Uphold Torikaze’s standards of quality, hygiene, safety, and presentation.
• Deliver sophisticated guest experiences; handle feedback and complaints professionally.
• Lead, train, and develop the service team to maintain a high-performance culture.
• Maintain the intimate atmosphere of the counter and private dining spaces.
• Assist rostering, staff scheduling, and day-to-day administrative duties.

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of this exceptional restaurant and help uphold the highest standards of hospitality and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring seamless service flow during lunch and dinner services
• Uphold the exacting standards of quality, hygiene, safety, and presentation that define Torikaze’s philosophy
• Deliver outstanding, sophisticated guest experiences; proactively handle guest feedback, special requests, and complaints with professionalism and discretion
• Lead, train, motivate, and develop the service team to maintain a collaborative, high‑performance culture focused on excellence and attention to details
• Maintain the intimate, refined atmosphere of the counter and private dining spaces
• Support rostering, staff scheduling, and day‑to‑day administrative duties

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a supervisory or Assistant Manager role within fine‑dining, Japanese cuisine, or high‑end hospitality environments (experience in yakitori, omakase, or Japanese restaurants is highly preferred)
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire a team
• Excellent guest‑facing presence and a genuine passion for delivering memorable dining experiences
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑standards environment while remaining calm and composed
• Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin); Japanese language skills are an advantage
• Strong organisational skills, attention to details, and a professional work ethic
• Immediately available or short notice preferred
