Job description

We are seeking a dynamic leader to lead our team in delivering exceptional service at our Japanese cuisine restaurant located in Wan Chai.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the restaurant team to deliver warm, authentic Japanese hospitality and an exceptional dining experience for guests.
• Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service, high food quality standards and outstanding guest satisfaction.
• Implement, monitor and continuously improve service procedures and operational standards to achieve service excellence.
• Manage labour, food costs and inventory controls to ensure achievement of sales targets.
• Build and maintain strong guest relationships in a professional manner.
• Support marketing initiatives, promotional activities, seasonal menu launches and special events.
• Undertake ad hoc projects and assignments as required.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in a managerial role within a reputable Japanese restaurant, upscale dining establishment or hospitality group is highly preferred.
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest service with strong attention to detail.
• Sound knowledge of Japanese cuisine, dining etiquette and hospitality culture. Solid knowledge of sake, Japanese whisky, tea culture and food-and-beverage pairing.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese; proficiency in Mandarin and/or Japanese would be an advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving and team development skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive and capable of thriving in a fast‑paced restaurant environment.
