Job summary
A leading technical solutions provider is seeking an Aircraft Fitter to join their team in Bournemouth. This varied role involves working on business and regional jets, ensuring compliance with safety standards while performing maintenance tasks. The position offers flexible hours and requires teamwork in both workshop and hanger settings.
Responsibilities
- Operate in accordance with SHE Technical standards.
- Apply safe systems of work and countermeasures from risk assessment.
- Perform base and line maintenance on aircraft including servicing and inspections.
Role: Aircraft Fitter
Location: Bournemouth
Rate: £33 ph umbrella OR £24.40 paye
This is a varied role, working on business and regional size jets in the workshop and out in the hanger in a team of aircraft fitters.
- Safety first. Operate in accordance with the SHE Technical standards.
- Identify where the SHE Technical Standards are applicable to appointed operations/tasks and apply safe systems of work identified.
- Apply countermeasures identified in applicable risk assessment to appointed operations/tasks.
- To perform base maintenance and when required line maintenance on company and customer operated aircraft including, servicing, inspections, modifications, and defect rectification.
- The control of any material or Company equipment provided for the task.
- Keep all associated Base Maintenance equipment replenished and ensure service dates are complied with.
- Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday starting at 7.30am. (4-day work week possible if preferred, but would be fewer hours). Likely to be circa 40-45 hours a week
