Purpose of Role

VINCI Facilities is looking for a Principal Engineer to provide senior technical support on our regional contract with the Reserve Forces & Cadets Association.

Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong FM experience and a practical, solutions-driven mindset to take a leading role on a high-profile and critical estate. You’ll work closely with the Account Manager and operational teams, acting as the go-to technical expert across maintenance and project activity.

Responsibilities

Lead on technical support across the account – providing guidance to both in-house teams and external contractors.
Develop and maintain effective maintenance regimes, with a strong focus on compliance and SFG20 standards.
Optimise the use of CAFM systems to support operations, planning, and reporting.
Support with technical elements of project works, quotes, and business cases.
Champion safety, quality, and best practice across all engineering activities.
Identify improvements, drive innovation, and uphold VINCI’s high technical standards.

Essential Qualifications/Skills

Strong background in Facilities Management.
HNC in Engineering – ideally Mechanical or Electrical.
In-depth knowledge of maintenance compliance frameworks – particularly SFG20.
Experience using CAFM systems (Maximo, etc.).
Proactive, hands-on attitude with the ability to support and mentor operational teams.
Technically confident and commercially aware.
