Connect Appointments are recruiting individuals to become Industrial Cleaning Operatives with our Polmont based clients night shift team.
As an Industrial Cleaning Operative, you'll play a key role in maintaining and cleaning machinery, ensuring smooth operations. The job involves working at heights (harness training provided) and occasionally in confined spaces.
What will you be doing?
- Performing scheduled and ad-hoc cleaning on industrial equipment to maintain high safety and operational standards
- Working at heights safely, following provided harness training
- Occasionally working in confined spaces
- Assisting with equipment maintenance by removing and replacing guards and preparing machinery for engineering tasks
- Conducting safety inspections and contributing to ongoing safety and operational improvements
To be successful in this Industrial Cleaning role, you will ideally have previous experience in a hands-on maintenance/engineering process environment. Combined with the following skills, traits and experience:
- Comfortable with working at heights and in confined spaces
- Good technical skills, ideally with a background in construction or maintenance
- Strong attention to detail, proactive, and willing to learn
- Valid driver's license is beneficial
- Awareness of electrical and mechanical hazards within a facility
- Knowledge and care for fire detection and extinguishing equipment
- An ability to demonstrate an understanding of process plant and maintenance/repair
