• Location: Colchester Office Based 3 Days Per Week / Home Working
• Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 Depending on Experience

We seek a self-motivated and organized Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. You will gain experience in a fast-paced environment, managing purchasing invoices, supplier statements, and external relations, while resolving queries.

• Processing invoices and credit notes accurately and promptly
• Communicating with stakeholders to resolve queries
• Managing the purchase ledger
• Recognizing stock and non-stock costs
• Reviewing purchase requisitions in Tipalti
• Performing supplier statement reconciliations
• Liaising with suppliers and internal teams
• Setting up new supplier accounts
• Ensuring controls and procedures are followed
• Meeting month-end deadlines
• Investigating outstanding creditor items
• Applying correct VAT rates
• Completing ad hoc duties

• At least 2 years of accounts experience, preferably in accounts payable
• Accurate and efficient under tight deadlines
• Organized with keen attention to detail
• Knowledge of Excel and accounting systems
• Self-motivated and target-driven
• Excellent communication skills
