An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Clinical Research Nurse to support the current research team.

This role requires staff with 2-3 years of clinical experience in an acute NHS setting, with a valid Nursing and Midwifery registration. Research experience is desirable but not essential — training will be provided. The role involves late shifts, weekend cover, and cross-site working across MFT sites, so flexibility is essential.

The NIHR Manchester Clinical Research Facility (MCRF) comprises six dedicated experimental medicine research units. The CRFs provide dedicated space and a safe, quality-assured environment for clinical research studies.

We seek a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who can contribute to research development within the CRF at MRI. The team facilitates and supports research across various specialties within MFT, focusing on delivering early phase 1-2 complex experimental medicinal trials, both commercial and non-commercial.

The post holder will be a key member of the clinical team, assisting in managing, coordinating, and facilitating clinical trial activities to support the delivery of current and future studies on time and within scope.

You will support a diverse, award-winning team of experts dedicated to improving patient care through pioneering research into new tests and treatments. Leveraging our expertise in early-phase experimental medicine, we aim to translate research findings rapidly into clinical practice.
