A prominent teaching hospital in the United Kingdom seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator to join their research team. The successful candidate will coordinate clinical trials, support research nurses, and perform participant assessments. Responsibilities include collecting blood samples and managing participant recruitment across multiple sites. An exciting opportunity has risen for a dynamic individual with experience in clinical research delivery to join our enthusiastic research team within the Rheumatology Team and support various studies.
The post holders will play a key role in developing and creating robust systems and processes to enable clinical research to run smoothly and efficiently.
Specifically this person will be required to collect and process blood samples, urine and joint surgery tissues, with willingness to travel across different hospital sites in GESH (Sr George's, Epsom, St Helier) for participant recruitment and sample collection. The person will also perform participant assessments, including questionnaires and pain measurements.
The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) will be responsible for coordinating a number of trials whilst supporting the research nurses and investigators in the delivery of clinical research studies.
The role will involve working closely with the Principal Investigators, sponsors, the Joint Research and Enterprise Service.
The post holder will foster excellent communication and working relationships with all clinical research delivery professionals internally and externally.
The post holder will need to be dynamic, able to work well under pressure and cope with conflicting demands whilst maintaining excellent organisational, communication and IT skills. Confidentiality, accuracy and attention to detail are fundamental for this position.
