Job summary
A leading logistics provider operating in Trafford Park, Manchester, is seeking an experienced Transport Planner. This role involves planning efficient collection and delivery schedules while ensuring compliance and excellent customer service. Key responsibilities include managing daily transport operations and liaising with internal teams. Ideal candidates will have prior transport planning experience, knowledge of transport regulations, and proficiency in transport systems. The role offers a salary of up to £38,000 per annum along with opportunities for career progression and a supportive team environment.

- Previous experience in transport planning or logistics coordination.
- Knowledge of transport legislation including the Highway Code and EU Drivers’ Hours.
- Good geographical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage daily transport operations for efficiency.
- Maximise vehicle and driver utilisation using transport management systems.
- Coordinate vehicle and trailer availability with the Workshop.
- Communicate effectively with drivers and customers.
- Manage driver and staffing levels for daily requirements.
- Handle customer bookings and operational updates.
- Support cross-training and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and compliant working environment.
