The post holder will support the Procurement Business Manager in the provision of a professional procurement service to the Health Board / Trust contributing to the development and achievement of the team’s objectives.

Essential Qualifications and Knowledge

• Qualified to CIPS (Level 4)/NVQ2/3 or equivalent experience
• 5 GCSE's grade C and above, including Maths & English or equivalent experience

Essential Abilities

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to use Microsoft products

Essential Experience

• Proven ability to establish and enhance effective working relationships with stakeholders
• Knowledge of professional purchasing principles acquired through NVQ level 3 or Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply, plus knowledge of contract law acquired through short courses and experience

Desirable

• Ability to work positively as part of a team
• Ability to analyse and interpret complex data sets
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Tendering and specification writing
