MCG Talent is seeking experienced government experts to oversee projects that integrate expertise from various disciplines, including strategic communications, capacity building, and public policy, to deliver outcomes for our clients. This role is with a leading advisory firm within the government sector.

This position requires someone with experience in a communications role within the public sector or extensive experience working directly with government entities.

1. Be based in Dubai, Bahrain, or Riyadh, working closely with government entities and officials.
2. Provide strategic counsel and develop communication strategies.
3. Handle crisis communications effectively.
4. Lead medium to large projects for government clients, developing and implementing supporting strategies, policies, and plans.
5. Structure and deliver comprehensive communication programs.
6. Manage ambiguity related to objectives, stakeholders, and constraints.
7. Apply models and tools to solve client problems adaptively.
8. Translate complex data into concise, compelling presentations.
9. Manage relationships with mid to senior-level government officials with authority.
10. Have a strong interest in central government, sovereign wealth funds, or culture and tourism sectors.

1. Extensive experience working with government clients, preferably in the Gulf region.
2. Proven track record of managing projects from initiation to completion with structured workstreams.
3. Experience in commissioning and integrating analysis from colleagues.
4. Managed communication workstreams for large government projects, delivering successful communications at key moments (e.g., launches, milestones).
5. Developed solutions tailored to stakeholder needs and importance.
6. Provided reputational counsel during crises.
7. Led and developed staff effectively.
8. Awareness of domestic, regional, and global current affairs.
