A technology company in Shippon is seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join their team. Responsibilities include assembling mechanical and electrical components, assisting with testing, and ensuring quality standards. Candidates should have solid mechanical assembly experience and be able to follow standard operating procedures. Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and electrical components.
- Assist in test setups, instrumentation, and data collection.

Skills
Location: Abingdon
Salary: £34,000 - £38,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Assembling mechanical and electrical components
- Assisting in test setups, instrumentation, and data collection
- Conducting inspections and troubleshooting
- Collaborating with engineers on quality and process improvement
- Maintaining production records, inventory, and purchasing logs
- Driving improvements in safety, efficiency, and cost
Essential:
- Solid experience with mechanical assembly
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality systems
Desirable:
- Experience in a production/manufacturing environment
- Background in scaling up assembly systems or manufacturing facilities
- Familiarity with drafting SOPs and improving manufacturing processes
