Job summary
A consulting agency is seeking a HIA Technical Officer (Housing) for a remote role requiring travel to client sites. The position involves administering and inspecting housing-related grants, providing technical expertise, and supporting vulnerable residents to live safely. Key responsibilities include preparing technical drawings, liaising with clients and contractors, and managing inspections. Municipal experience and knowledge of grant legislation are essential. This role demands strong organizational skills and a clean driving license.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of grant legislation and housing construction techniques.
- Experience in customer service and working with the public.
- Enhanced DBS required.
- Clean driving license and access to own vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice on construction techniques.
- Prepare scale drawings and arrange necessary approvals.
- Carry out inspections and take measurements.
- Visit clients and provide advice and feasibility assessments.
- Maintain accurate administrative records.
- Liaise with occupational therapists and contractors.
