Job summary
A leading waste management service provider is seeking a Waste Operative to ensure efficient movement of waste products from the factory. You will monitor compliance with company policies, engage in teamwork, and uphold professional standards. Applicants should have a full FLT licence and strong interpersonal skills. Skills
42 hours per week, 4 on, 4 off rota – 2 day shifts followed by 2 night shifts, then 4 days off.
£15.30 per hour.

We are seeking a dedicated Waste Operative to take responsibility for the day-to-day efficient movement of waste products out of the factory, ensuring operations run smoothly and service levels are consistently met. In this key role, you will help maintain compliance with agreed business plans while supporting the safe, organised, and environmentally responsible management of waste.
- Ensure efficient waste management and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor, report, and maintain equipment performance.
- Conduct regular checks and inspections as required by processes.
- Coordinate with internal departments on waste distribution and factory-related activities.
- Follow internal operating procedures and foster effective working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and suppliers.
- Engage in training and proactively support the Facilities Management team with a positive, can-do approach.
- Full FLT licence with electric pallet truck qualification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in customer-facing environments.
- Proven people management abilities and effective team leadership.
- Computer literate with a proactive, intuitive, and ‘can do’ approach.
- High personal integrity and commitment to maintaining professional standards.
- Target-driven, adaptable, and an effective team player.
